Hello,
Use this checklist to help make sure your version 7 license is functional before completing the migration:
Click every page and inside every Text element to remove extra spacing caused by migration (Nothing needs to be checked or clicked, you just need to enter inside every element and then back out again.)
Delete extra product lists from pages where they don’t belong (A product list is automatically put on every page if one is not already there, you can just delete this element from every page where you do not already have/want a product list.)
Check product images, pricing, etc. – make sure they are showing (Click “Products” on the left and view products individually by double clicking on their name or searching for them based on categories.)
Add processor information (Click “More” under “Product” then click on “Processors” and either enter information for existing processors,
or click the plus sign in the bottom left to add a new processor.)
Add payment methods (Click “Price Sets” under “Product” then click “Payment Methods”; you can add new payment methods with the plus sign in the bottom left corner or delete payment methods by right-clicking over them.)
Attach processor to payment methods (Double-click inside each payment method and assign the correct processor for each one.)
Add shipping methods (Click “Price Sets” under “Product” and then click “Shipping Methods”; you can add new shipping methods with the plus sign in the bottom left corner or delete shipping methods by right-clicking over them.)
Shippers – Register with UPS or add existing UPS account (if applicable)
Check/test ordering rules (Click on “Price Sets” under “Product” then click “Ordering Rules”; you will need to click inside every ordering rule to view the conditions and calculations and to enable or disable them.)
Check/add forms (Click “Forms” on the left and double-click on each form individually to inspect/make changes through elements tab on the right.)
Check email notification setup on forms (This is on the main page of the form once you double click on it under the “email notification” field.)
Check/add messages (Click “Messages” on the left toolbar; double click on each message individually to preview/edit.)
Check alias emails (only existing aliases will be honored) – contact customer support for additional assistance (Email aliases are listed under “More” under “Site” then under “Domains & Emails”.)
This icon � may appear throughout the pages. It needs to be replaced with correct punctuation – could be a comma, period, quotes and etc.
Font size – the font size of v4 differs in v7. If adding new text to an existing text element may require the current text format being removed (contact customer support for steps)
Design/template changes and adjustments (All adjustments to the template/design are made in the “Design” tab. Click on the painter’s palette button in the bottom right corner of the screen. This new bar at the bottom of the screen is where you can select a new template, change fonts/colors, add a custom banner, etc.)
When updates have been completed, do a full test of the website in preview mode, including several test orders. (Preview Mode can be accessed by clicking on the preview button in the bottom left corner of the builder [the button that looks like a TV screen]).
